OWL Communication Academy

Co-Led the curriculum design team on 3 English learning product lines with over 600+ individual lessons:

·OWL English Shadow Speaking App

·OWL Kids Phonics & Picture Book Reading Mobile App

·Storytelling, Reading Strategies & Leadership Speech lessons

  • Consulted with Subject Matter Experts and collaborated with a team of UI/UX Designer, Software Engineer & Project Manager to develop eLearning curriculums.

  • Analyzed learning needs from identified learners to designed, developed & implemented over 500 daily English shadowing lessons and providing instructional feedback on distance learning community through Wechat, resulting in 600% user growth. 

  • Applied iterative design process to develop and implement 20 coherent series of 10-day curricula on English speaking skills via Xiaoe-tech platform, doubling the learner retention rate from 15% to 32%, learner satisfaction from 75% to 92% collected from 400+ post-course surveys.

  • Improved internal communication & team collaboration with project management tools (Asana) & cloud-based services (LEAN Cloud).

  • As part of Appliedx On-Demand training team, I executed kickoff-to-launch MOOC style technical and business process courses on custom edX platform.

  • I work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) from various business units to:

    • Articulate crisp learning objectives for 1- to 2-hour online courses

    • Define the scope of a curriculum for each course

    • Develop learning materials (storyboards, digital activities, informational text, handouts and other resources)

    • Plan and execute the logistics of creating course collateral

    • Organize and maintain course collateral according to provided specifications

  • Collaborated with SMEs on scripts and coordinated with the video production group.
